การกำหนดขนาดตัวอย่างการวิเคราะห์ตัวแบบจำลองสมการเชิงโครงสร้าง

การวิเคราะห์แบบจำลองสมการเชิงโครงสร้างเป็นการวิเคราะห์เพื่อทดสอบว่าข้อมูลเชิงประจักษ์เป็นไปตามทฤษฎีอยู่หรือไม่ การทดสอบจะใช้สถิติไคสแควร์ ค่าสถิติไคสแควร์จะสัมพันธ์กับขนาดตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ นั่นคือ หากตัวอย่างในการวิเคราะห์มีจำนวนมากค่าสถิติไคสแควร์ก็จะมากหรือสูงขึ้นตามไปด้วย ซึ่งอาจจะส่งผลให้การวิเคราะห์ตัวแบบจำลองสมการเชิงโครงสร้าง มีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติหรือปฏิเสธสมมติฐาน H0 ที่เป็นจริงได้ ดังนั้นการวิเคราะห์ตัวแบบจำลองสมการเชิงโครงสร้าง ผู้วิเคราะห์จะต้องกำหนดตัวอย่างให้น้อยที่สุดเท่าที่จะวิเคราะห์ได้ โดยการกำหนดขนาดตัวอย่างในการวิเคราะห์ตัวแบบจำลองสมการเชิงโครงสร้าง มีหลากหลายแนวคิด ดังนี้ กำหนดขนาดตัวอย่างคำนวณด้วยโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์สำเร็จรูปและการกำหนดขนาดตัวอย่างด้วยแนวคิดการใช้อัตราส่วนระหว่างขนาดตัวอย่างกับตัวแปรสังเกตได้
