The samples were 140 professional and technical nurses who have actively been working in Wing hospitals for a minimum of 1 year. The research tool used was a questionnaire developed by the researcher, which included the assessment of system establishing to collect and share knowledge, connecting the organization to its environment, leadership for learning support and becoming the learning organization of nursing. The questionnaires’ content validity was verified by six qualified experts. The reliability tested by the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient were 0.74, 0.85, 0.90 and 0.91, respectively. The total of 111 questionnaires were returned, accounting for 79.29 percent. The data were analyzed using the frequency distribution statistics, percentages, mean, standard deviation, Pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression analysis.</p> <p> The study found that the overall level of being the learning organization of nursing in Wing hospitals was at a high level (= 3.60, S.D. = 0.68) and the variables that jointly predicted the perception of being the learning organization of nursing statistically significant at the 0.01 level were leadership for learning support, connecting the organization to its environment, and system establishing to collect and share knowledge. These variables can jointly predict the perception of being the learning organization of nursing in Wing hospitals by 82.4 percent (R<sup>2</sup> = 0.824).</p> Pornpawee Prathum Wanchanok Juntachum Copyright (c) 2024 Sakon Nakhon Hospital 2024-08-30 2024-08-30 27 2 1 11 Factors Affecting Quality of Life of Cancer Patients Undergoing Surgery in Udon Thani Cancer Hospital https://he05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSakonNakHosp/article/view/2603 <p> This predictive research was aimed to explore the level of quality of life and study factors affecting the quality of life of cancer patients undergoing surgery admitted to Udon Thani Cancer Hospital. 160 cancer patients undergoing surgery admitted to Udon Thani Cancer Hospital at all 3 inpatient wards of Udon Thani Cancer Hospital between July and September 2023, were selected by purposive sampling. The instruments used to collect the data were comprised of the demographic questionnaire of the patients, and the Thai version of European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life QLQ - C30 questionnaire (EORTC QLQ - C30). The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, and Multiple regression.</p> <p> The results of the study showed that</p> <p><span style="font-size: 0.875rem;"> 1. Quality of life of cancer patients treated with surgery,surgery combined with chemotherapy, and surgery combined with radiation That was assessed with EORTC QLQ - C30 , had a score for quality of life and overall health status been moderate(Mean = 3.50, S.D. = 0.44).</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 0.875rem;"> 2. Factors affecting the quality of life of cancer patients undergoing surgery at Udon Thani Cancer Hospital were found that gender, number of times the cancer came back. The number of times receiving treatment was negatively related. Two hundred and eighty-five elderly people were selected by simple random sampling. The instruments were demographic questions, Thai version of the Pittsburgh Sleep. Quality Index: T-PSQI, Thai geriatric depression scale, TGDS). The reliability of the instrument was 0.87. The prevalence of sleep problem data were analyzed by frequency and mean. The associated factors of sleep quality were analyzed by Chi-square test. The predictors of sleep quality were analyzed by logistic regression analysis and adjusted OR (OR<sub>adj.</sub>) with 95% confidence interval were presented.</p> <p> The results showed that the prevalence of poor sleep quality (PSQI &gt; 5) in the elderly was 57.89% and the good sleep quality was 42.11%. The mean sleep duration was 7.57 hours. Most elderly went to bed at 8.00 p.m. and wake up at 4.00 a.m. The mean duration time from bed time to get sleep was 33.21 minutes. The mean sleep efficiency was 88.30%. The associated factors of sleep quality were depression, medical conditions, sufficiency of income, environment with interference and caffeine consumption. The predictors of the poor sleep quality were depression and medical conditions (p &lt; 0.05).</p> <p> This study suggested the research study should be conducted in a larger sample size to get appropriate samples to analyze the causal factors. The samples were researchers, digital experts, representative teachers, representative health workers and representative students in each year. Ninety-six samples<br />participated in the research project voluntarily. Data were collected by semi-structured interview, focus group discussion, observation, and brainstorming. The qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis. The quantitative data were analyzed using frequency and percentage.</p> <p> The results showed that the developed model for the digital competencies in nursing students at Boromarajonani college of nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom university was the PDE’s model consisted of 3 elements: 1) Policy 2) Digital competencies and 3) Evaluation.The digital competencies for nursing students consisted of 8 elements: 1) Digital literacy 2) Digital skills 3) Attributes 4) Critical thinking and Problem solving 5) Adaptive and Learning 6) Ethics, Law, and Security 7) Communication &amp; Collaboration and 8) Creative and Innovations.</p> <p> This research suggested that the institutions should manage the digital competencies of nursing students particularly the aspects in which students had less competency than others such as critical thinking and problem solving<strong>, </strong>ethics, law, and security<strong>, </strong>and Creative and Innovations<strong>.</strong></p> Nadnapa Arayasinlapathon Patchanee Somkumlung Nedruetai Punaglom Copyright (c) 2024 Sakon Nakhon Hospital 2024-08-30 2024-08-30 27 2 34 44 Effect of Health Behavior Promotion Program on the Severity of Knee Osteoarthritis in Overweight Older Adults in the Community https://he05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSakonNakHosp/article/view/2211 <p> Knee osteoarthritis is a common health problem in older adults. Typical symptoms include pain, swelling, stiffness, or joint deformity. This restricts mobility and destroys their ability to do daily activities. This quasi-experimental research study aimed to study the effects of a health behavior promotion program using quadriceps femoris muscle exercise combined with weight control and hot compresses on the severity of knee osteoarthritis for 34 overweight older adults in the community by simple random sampling. The research period was eight weeks. The research instruments were the experimental instrument, the health behavior promotion program and the data collection instruments consisted of 1) a demographic data questionnaire and health data record form 2) an Oxford knee score, and 3) an Osteoarthritis controlling behavior questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the descriptive statistics, repeated measure ANOVA, and paired sample t-tests. The statistical level of 0.05 was considered significance.</p> <p> The results of the study found that the severity of knee osteoarthritis after the 8<sup>th</sup> week of the experiment was significantly higher than before the experiment (F (1.47, 48.44) = 4.43, p = 0.03). Higher scores indicated lower severity of knee osteoarthritis. The mean body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC) were significantly decreased (p &lt; 0.05). The samples groups recruited by purposive sampling consisted were 1) 14 registered nurses worked in surgical intensive care unit 2 and 2) 30 patients with surgical critical care admitted in surgical intensive care unit 2. The research instruments included 1) practice program to prevent delirium in patient with surgical critical care 2) registered nurse’s data collection form, the evaluation questionnaire for knowledge and practice behavior and satisfaction assessment to the practice program and 3) patient ‘s data collection form. The content validity of all instruments analyzed by the index of item-objective congruence were 0.85 to 1. Data was analyzed by using the descriptive statistics: percentage, mean and standard deviation. The different comparison was analyzed by the Wilcoxon sign-rank test.</p> <p> The results of the research found that after participation in the practice program to prevent delirium in patient with surgical critical care 1) the mean scores of knowledge and behavior in practicing to prevent delirium of nurse participants were 16.43 (SD = 2.28) and 68.14 (SD = 2.18), respectively, which was significantly higher than before receiving the program at the 0.05 level 2) the incidence of delirium in patients with surgical critical care after program implementation was not occurred and 3) the overall nurses' s satisfaction with the practice program was at high level (Mean = 4.15, SD = 0.61). The samples were 40 drug addict patients who admitted at the rehabilitation ward. The samples were assigned into an experimental group and control group (20 participants in each group). The experimental group attended the researcher<sup>, </sup>s group counselling based on therapeutic relationship program twice a week, 60-90 minutes each time, totally 6 sessions. The tools used for data collection were 1) Depression Assessment Question 9 Thai version (Patient Health Questionnaire-9: PHQ-9) 2) Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (RSES) and 3) Therapeutic relationship program. Data were analyzed with the descriptive statistics, and inferential statistics; paired t- test and independent t-test.</p> <p> The results revealed that 1) the experimental groups showed lower level of depression after participating therapeutic relationship program 2) the average self-esteem score of experimental groups after participating therapeutic relationship program (Mean = 29.70, S.D. = 2.32) was significantly higher than that before participating (Mean = 12.35, S.D. = 1.87) (p &lt; 0.05). and 3) The average self-esteem score in experimental group (Mean = 29.70, S.D. = 2.32) was significantly higher than that of control group (Mean = 16.85, S.D. = 1.57) (p &lt; 0.05).</p> <p> Conclusion: The therapeutic relationship program positively impacted depression and self- esteem among drug addicts. However, long term monitoring for the effectiveness stability should be done in the future.</p> Thidarat Huaisai Metta Chaiyachet Kichawat Natawin Copyright (c) 2024 Sakon Nakhon Hospital 2024-08-30 2024-08-30 27 2 70 82 Effects of Casing Sat Innovation for Locking Oxygen Saturation in Neonates Screened for Congenital Heart Disease https://he05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSakonNakHosp/article/view/2351 <p> This quasi-experimental research aimed to 1) compare the time to measure oxygen saturation in newborns between the old traditional measurement group and the group measuring using Casing Sat innovation and 2) study the satisfaction level of professional nurses after using the Casing Sat innovation. The sample group were 11 professional nurses working in the pediatric ward 2 of Nakhon Phanom Hospital, and 30 newborns who had been screened for congenital heart disease. They were divided into 2 groups that had their oxygen saturation measured undergoing conventional congenital heart disease screening and the group that received oxygen saturation measurements toward infants who were screened for congenital heart disease with the Casing Sat innovation developed, a group of 15 people per group. The research experimental measurements were an innovative Casing Sat that was developed by researchers. Data were analyzed by 1) comparing the time to measure oxygen saturation in newborns using independent t-test statistics and 2) analyzing the satisfaction of professional nurses after using the Casing Sat innovation using the percentage, mean and standard deviation (S.D.). </p> <p> The results were as follow:1) the mean period of time to measure oxygen saturation in newborns using Casing sat (mean = 8.72, S.D. = 2.73) was lower compared to that of the old traditional measurement (mean = 11.82, S.D. = 6.46) with statistically significant level of 0.05 and 2) after using this Casing Sat innovation, the satisfaction scores of professional nurses were from high level to the highest level (mean = 4.85, S.D. = 0.37).</p> Marasri Sirisawat Apisit Sakunsin Ponpinit Mutchino Nantika Ritnan Copyright (c) 2024 Sakon Nakhon Hospital 2024-08-30 2024-08-30 27 2 83 94 The Development of Network of Case Manager Nurse for Patients with ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction in Sakon Nakhon Province https://he05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSakonNakHosp/article/view/3005 <p> This research and development aimed to develop a network of case manager nurses taking care of patients with acute myocardial infarction, and to study outcomes after development. The sample groups were selected by purposive sampling according to the specified qualifications from Sakon Nakhon hospital and 18 network hospitals consisted of 1) network development group, 37 nursing executives and advanced practice nurses, 2) 20 registered nurse assigned for caring patients with acute myocardial infarction and 3) 200 patients with acute myocardial infarction divided into experimental groups (100 patients received nursing care using the nurse case manager model) and control group (100 patients received standard nursing care). The research was performed in 6 steps from August 2023 to May 2024. The research tools included the practice assessment form for developing care model for patients with acute myocardial infarction, developing the competencies of case manager nurses and network supervision. Data collection tools included focus groups, data collection form, competency assessment form, clinical supervision plan, and satisfaction assessment form. Data were analyzed by using the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test, and paired t-test.</p> <p> The results of the study found that 1) the Sakon Nakhon province’s network of nurse case manager for taking care of patients with acute myocardial infarction consisted of 3 components including the nurse case manager competency, case manager nurse model and network clinical supervision, resulting in the same guideline following and 2) after model development, most patients received standard treatment, got access to services in a timely manner and received angioplasty.
