Online questionnaire development for medical IT learning behavioral research.

Abstract

Background : Online Questionnaire Development has no paper so, friendly with environment and decreasing the earth warming.

Objective : To develop online questionnaire system for new researchers in order to selecting the automatic questionnaire construction replacing the paper for decreasing the earth warming, study medical IT learning behavior with the automatic test via internet and webpage registration system.

Setting : Department of Preventive and Social Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University.

Research Design : Cross-sectional descriptive study.

Population : There were 3 target groups such as 1) Forty four peoples from website 2) Ninety trained in Ms Access 1^st - 4^th Class from electronic mail, and 3) One hundred personals of Chulalongkorn University passed training Ms Access, 5,h - h class from circular letter, the total 234 persons answer the online questionnaire 6 weeks.

Methodology : A study of 3 target groups answered online questionnaire from website via internet coverage 4 type of question such as opened ending, closed ending, check list and multiple choice, respectively. The performance of monitor as condition of the program, develop ASP program, using MySQL data base system concerning 234 persons for collecting data from 1 November - 15 December, 2008 in 6 weeks.

Result : Majority of the respondents were female (70.9%), completed bachelor degree 183 persons (78.2%), learning in basic computer (91.0%) using office program (92.7%), using internet for searching data monthly (25.5%>) from the ASP program development for online questionnaire via internet with correct data, the benefit for the work were very good.

Discussion & Conclusions : The physician and the researcher of Chulalongkorn University preferred to construct the paper questionnaire. Therefore, the expenses of questionnaire distribution and feedback has to waste more budgeting, the data has not sufficient for research. When comparison with online questionnaire via internet which the researcher develop ASP Program and using MySQL data base system were collected the data without paper. These will decrease the earth warming directly and indirectly. It serves the facilities of working, decreasing the step of working, decreasing the human fault. The advantage of this method was collected the data from various places simultaneously.
