Abstract

     This study aims to (1) to evaluate the effects of a policy on prevention and control of tuberculosis and severe multidrug-resistant tuberculosis; Health Area 6 according to the Communicable Diseases Act, 2015, using the CIPP MODEL. (2) Inquiring about the patient's satisfaction and the patient's care givers with the treatment process and treatment results. The target groups in this research are (1) executives and personnel who transfer policy into practice. At the district or provincial level, amounting to 4 people; (2) Public health officials/personnel at the provincial public health office level/provincial hospital Related With 20 patients. (3) District Public Health Office, Public Health Volunteers in the area who provide continuous care after the patient returns to continue treatment at home, number 3 people (4) patients / close relatives / people living in areas related to patients, 4 people, a total of 31 people in the area of Health Area 6 for a period of 1 year between August 1, 2018 to July 31, 2019. The research tools consisted of (1) interview form and (2) a questionnaire on satisfaction with the care process and treatment outcome of patients and caregivers. In this research, the researcher used detailed data analysis. Data interpretation by analyzing the inductive summary (Analytic Induction) and calculating basic statistics.

          The findings were that :

               (1) Context: executives, operators patients and caregivers know that tuberculosis is a serious problem and has severe symptoms; It is seen that adopting a policy that has been pushed by legal measures is appropriate. Input: public health agencies there is an administrative structure, manpower, materials, equipment, information technology. And sufficient budget. Process: Implement policies into practice. Executives, operators report, monitor, investigate, quarantine patients. Caring for patients both in the hospital and continuing care at home. According to the legal measures under the communicable diseases act of 2015 for the prevention and control of very severe multidrug-resistant tuberculosis with cooperation from relevant agencies patients and caregivers cooperate. Take medication and follow the instructions of the staff. Output: The patient's symptoms improved. Improved laboratory results improved outcomes tend to be favorable for successful treatment.

               (2) Satisfaction with the care process and treatment outcomes of patients and caregivers. It was found that 2 patients were satisfied with an average of 5, which was in the highest level. And 2 caregivers were satisfied with an average of 5, which was in the highest level.
