Publication Ethics

The Primary Health Care Journal (Central Edition) is created with the purpose of being a source for collecting and disseminating research, academic work, and serving as a medium for exchanging knowledge in the field of basic public health, public health, and other related areas from government agencies, local governments, and the community sector. To maintain high ethical standards in publication and achieve international recognition, the roles and responsibilities of the editors, authors, and article reviewers must adhere strictly to ethical principles and publication standards as follows:

Editor's Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. The editor must review all submitted articles for publication consideration in the journal by assessing whether the content aligns with the journal's objectives and scope.
  2. The editor must ensure the quality of the articles based on academic accuracy and impartiality.
  3. The editor must not alter or change the content of the author's article or the evaluation results of the reviewers.
  4. The editor must maintain the journal's standards and continually improve the quality of the journal.
  5. The editor must protect the confidentiality of the author's and reviewer's personal information, ensuring that it is not disclosed to unrelated parties during the review process by using a double-blind peer review system.

Article Reviewer's Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Reviewers should only consider articles in areas where they have true expertise and understanding.
  2. Reviewers must evaluate articles based on academic principles and reasoning without bias or personal opinions.
  3. Reviewers must not have any conflicts of interest regarding the academic work they are reviewing.

Author's Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. The author's work must not be a duplicate of previously published articles or under consideration for publication in other journals.
  2. The author must not plagiarize and should appropriately cite the work of others when referencing it in their own article.
  3. The author must follow the submission guidelines of the Basic Public Health Journal (Central Region).
  4. The author must complete the article submission form and attach a letter of approval from their supervisor.
  5. If it is research work, the author must obtain ethical approval for the research following correct principles.
