Antibiotic Using within the Scope of Nurse Practitioner

Antibiotic drugs are a class of medications used to treat diseases or illnesses caused by microbial infections. Only licensed medical practitioners or certain healthcare professionals are authorized to administer these drugs for treatment. Nurse Practitioners are among those who can diagnose and provide initial treatment, including the use of antibiotics, in accordance with the Nursing Council's announcement regarding the list of medications and diagnostic substances for professional nurses and nurse practitioners in primary care, B.E. 25651. This article aims to educate and review for nurse practitioners to enhance their understanding of antibiotic drug classes, mechanisms of action, side effects, and dosages for common diseases, ensuring that healthcare recipients receive effective and safe treatment.
