โรคติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา 2019 ถึงแม้จะมีการแพร่ระบาดลดลง แต่ยังพบผู้เสียชีวิตจากโรคนี้การศึกษาแบบเก็บข้อมูลย้อนหลังครั้งนี้ จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับการเสียชีวิตของผู้ป่วยโรคติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา 2019 กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้ป่วยโรคติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา 2019 เข้ารับการรักษาที่สถานพยาบาลในจังหวัดขอนแก่น ระหว่างวันที่ 1 มกราคม – 15 ธันวาคม 2565 จำนวน 612 คน กลุ่มศึกษาเป็นผู้ป่วยเสียชีวิต ด้วยโรคปอดบวมจากการติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา 2019 จำนวน 204 คน กลุ่มควบคุมเป็นผู้ป่วยไม่เสียชีวิต จำนวน 408 คน เครื่องมือวิจัยเป็นแบบบันทึกข้อมูล วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา การทดสอบไคสแควร์ และการวิเคราะห์การถดถอยลอจิสติกเชิงพหุ
ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับการเสียชีวิตด้วยโรคติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา 2019 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ได้แก่ อายุมากกว่า 60 ปี (ORadj 55.23, 95% CI = 28.77 -106.05, p-value <0.001) มีโรคประจำตัว ได้แก่ วัณโรค (ORadj 11.80, 95% CI = 2.54 -54.73, p-value 0.002) เบาหวาน (ORadj 9.07, 95% CI = 1.52 – 54.28, p-value 0.016) ความดันโลหิตสูง (ORadj 4.29, 95% CI = 1.59-11.60, p-value 0.004) และไม่ได้รับวัคซีน (ORadj 2.00, 95% CI = 1.14 – 3.49, p-value 0.015)
