การดำเนินงานของผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะพึ่งพิง ตำบลนาโก อำเภอกุฉินารายณ์ จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์

การวิจัยเชิงพรรณนาแบบภาคตัดขวางมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลการดำเนินงานของผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะพึ่งพิง กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ ผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุ จำนวน 58 คน ผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะพึ่งพิง จำนวน 100 คน เก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสัมภาษณ์ สถิติที่ใช้ ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และสหสัมพันธ์ของเพียร์สัน
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุ ส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง (ร้อยละ 69.0) มีอายุเฉลี่ย 54.98 ปี มีผู้สูงอายุในความดูแลจำนวน 1-5 คน (ร้อยละ 82.8) ความถี่ของการให้การดูแล 2 ครั้ง/สัปดาห์ (ร้อยละ 100.0) มีระดับความรู้ในการดูแลผู้สูงอายุในระดับปานกลาง (ร้อยละ 65.5) มีทักษะในการดูแลผู้สูงอายุในระดับปานกลาง (ร้อยละ 67.2) ผู้สูงอายุมีความพึงพอใจต่อการบริการของนักบริบาลผู้สูงอายุ ในระดับสูง (ร้อยละ 40.0) มีการฟื้นฟูองค์ความรู้อย่างน้อย 1 ครั้ง/ปี และเพิ่มเนื้อหาในประเด็นต่าง ๆ เช่น การรักษาพยาบาลเบื้องต้น การดูแลสุขภาพจิต แพทย์แผนไทย เป็นต้น และความรู้และทักษะในการดูแลผู้สูงอายุมีความสัมพันธ์กับผลการดำเนินงานของผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (r=0.414,p=0.001; r=0.547,p=0.001 ตามลำดับ) ผลการศึกษาชี้ให้เห็นว่า ความรู้และทักษะในการปฏิบัติงานของผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุมีความสำคัญต่อการให้การดูแลผู้สูงอายุ ดังนั้นหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องควรจัดอบรมฟื้นฟูองค์ความรู้และทักษะให้ผู้ดูแลผู้สูงอายุ อย่างต่อเนื่อง ทำให้มีความมั่นใจและเชื่อมั่นในตัวเองในการให้บริการดูแลผู้สูงอายุมากขึ้น
