BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVEL, QUALITY OF LIFE, AND SATISFACTION OF DIABETIC PATIENTS RECIVING SERVICES AT THE PRIMARY CARE CLUSTER NAM PHONG HOSPITAL, KHON KAEN PROVINCE

This study was a cross-sectional descriptive study design aimed to study and compare the blood glucose level, quality of life, and service satisfaction of diabetic patients treated by the chronic care model (CC model) and the multidisciplinary team care model (MC model) in the primary care cluster Nam Phong Hospital. The sample consisted of 76 patients with type 2 diabetes, divided into groups receiving services from the CC and MC models. The research tool was a blood glucose recording form, assessing quality of life and service satisfaction. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Mann-Whitney U test. The findings revealed that the CC model group and the MC model group had normal HbA1c at 15.79%, and 52.63% respectively. The median HbA1c between the two groups was a statistically significant difference. The CC model group had a medium-to-high quality of life in five domains, and the MC model group had high levels. The median quality of life scores for the five domains were significantly different between the two groups. The overall service satisfaction of both groups was at a high level. The median service satisfaction scores were not different between the two groups.
