THE EFFECT OF ENHANCING THE PARTICIPATION OF CHILD AND FAMILY CARE TEAM MODEL FOR PROMOTING EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT IN THE COMMUNITY, AMNAT CHAROEN PROVINCE

Abstract

This Action Research aimed to study the effect of enhancing child and family care team model participation for promoting early childhood development in the community of Amnat Charoen Province. The sample is a child and family care team (CFCT) of 90 people and 239 child care parents and early children. Data were collected by questionnaire for CFCT and parent with reliability as 0.83 and 0.87 respectively, and analyzed by inferential statistics, paired sample T-Test, and content analysis.

The results showed that most of the child and family care team were female, 85.6% aged between 50-59 years, 44.4% with a bachelor's degree or higher of 47.8%. The model of enhancing child and family care team participation for promoting early childhood development in the community have 3 roles model team, Well-versed team (child care parent who understand the importance of child development and willingly follow instructions), Practitioners team (child care parent who accept but discontinuous follow instructions), Managers team (child care parent who does not accept instructions). After using this model, it was found that the potential and role-based behavior of child and family care team have increased (p-value<.05), the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of the child care parents had been higher too (p-value<.001) accordingly with, the development of early childhood has increased to 97.1%. Therefore, enhancing the participation of the child and family care team can promote early childhood development in the community.
