Abstract

This cross-sectional study aimed to study the level of participation, the factors influencing the participation in the development model to prevent road accidents in Khokklang Subdistrict. Nonsaat District, Udonthani Province. The sample consisted of 373 stratified samples. and 10 government officials purposively selected. The research tools were questionnaires and interview forms.

The statistics used in the data analysis were frequency, percentage and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that: 1) Public participation, The overall level is moderate. (equation= 3.05 S.D.=.62). The plan meeting (equation=3.09 S.D.=.26), the information system development (equation=3.04 S.D.=.31), and the road accident prevention drive (equation=3.03 S.D.=.33) 2) Factors influencing the participation: Leadership, Community participation aspect and Local role has a predictive coefficient of .585, .025 and -.045
