ALCOHOL DRINKING BEHAVIOR IN A COMMUNITY OF KALASIN PROVINCE

This study aimed to study alcohol drinking behavior in a community of Kalasin Province. The sample consisted of 212 people from systematic random sampling from the service recipient register in the sub-district health promotion hospital. Collect data during the month July - August 2020 Educational tools there were 4 levels of the personal data questionnaire and the alcohol use disorder identification test (AUDIT) questionnaire: 1) low risk drinking behavior, 2) risky drinking, 3) harmful drinking and, 4) drinking addiction, mean, and standard deviation
The study found that A total of 212 alcohol drinkers were male, 91.98%, mean age 51.44 years, the most marital status 69.81%, primary education level, the most 53.30%, and the majority had was agricultural occupation, 50.47% had monthly income : less than 10,000 baht, the most 84.43%. Family members were not alcohol drinkers 66.50%. The alcohol drinking behavior of the sample had a mean score of 12.89, a standard deviation of 6.72. Alcohol drinking behavior. The majority was 49.53% risk drinkers, followed by 23.58% low risk drinkers, 14.15% addicted drinkers, and 12.74% risk drinkers, respectively. It was found that sex, marital status, occupation, income and alcohol consumption of family members were Correlated with alcohol drinking behavior Statistically significant (p <0.05). The use of alcoholic beverages poses a number of risks to both the drinker and others. The problem should be addressed, and the impact of alcohol consumption on others who do not drink alcohol should be studied further.
