FACTOR RELATED TO THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF THE ELDERLY IN SANPATONG SUB-DISTRICT, NACHUAK DISTRICT, MAHASARAKHAM PROVINCE

This study determine the factors related to the quality of life of the elderly in Sanpatong sub-district, Nachuak districk, Mahasarakham province.The samples are 542 elderly. Designed the study is cross-sectional. Collecting data from an interview questionnaires survey. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression. The results revealed that the majority of the elderly were female (55.7%), average age 69.33 years, mostly earning less than 5,000 baht per month (94.1%). Elderly had a quality of life at a moderate level (54.2%). (considering each domain, physical domain, social relationships, and environment domain was at low level (43.5%, 44.4%, and 40.2 % respectively) while psychological domain was at moderate level (42.3%).The factors associated with quality of life were education, monthly income, debt, and chronic illness (p-value =0.014, 0.007, 0.012 and 0.029 respectively)
