RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDE WITH FROZEN FOOD CONSUMPTION BEHAVIOR AMONG STUDENTS IN A RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY IN THE VICINITY AREA

The objective of this cross-sectional survey research were to study relationship between knowledge and attitude with frozen food consumption behavior among students in a Rajabhat University in the vicinity area. Samples were 300 students who living in dormitories selected by multistage stage sampling.Data was collected by using questionnaire from June 2019 to October 2019 with a reliability of 0.70-0.74 and analyzes by using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation coefficient statistic.
The results showed that most of samples were female aged 18-20 years old. They had frozen food consumption knowledge and attitude at a good level (72.3% and 59.0%, respectively) and had frozen food consumption behavior at an appropriated level (57.3%). Knowledge and attitudes were correlated with frozen food consumption behavior with statistical significance at the level of 0.05 (r= 0.212 and 0.457, respectively).
Suggestions of this research, public health officials and relevant parties can use the results of this research to develop knowledge and change attitudes towards students and people to have frozen food consumption behavior.
