ABNORMAL SYMPTOMS AMONG METHAMPHETAMINE USERS IN DRUG CAMP THAILAND

Abstract

The aims of study were explained about abnormal symptoms among methamphetamine users. Data in 2018 of Thai national survey was stratified sampling used the1, 649 populations. The data analyzed with frequency, percentile, Qui-square, Phi correlation, Odds Ratio with 95% confident interval, and P-value < 0.05.

Total 1,649 of methamphetamine users, frequency more than one time/day had more interactive in social situations (COR 1.315, 95% CI 1.064-1.625), inhibited (COR 1.305, 95% CI 1.055-1.614), the irritability (COR 1.232, 95% CI 1.031-1.584). In physical symptoms, frequency more than one time/day had more interactive in heartbeat (COR 1.365, 95%CI 1.095-1.700), increased muscle tension (COR 1.328, 95% CI 1.083-1.628), and attack of sweating (COR 1.374, 95% CI 1.106-1.707). In psychological symptoms among used methamphetamine more than 5 tablet per week associated the statistic significant in the variables of intoxication like agitation (COR 4.156, 95% CI 1.203-14.328), typically paranoid delusion (COR 4.078, 95% CI 1.181-14.081), and psychotic event with hallucinations (COR 3.663, 95% CI 1.064-12.612)
