EFFECTS OF CLINICAL NURSING PRACTICE GUIDELINE EMPOWERMENT ON QUALITY OF LIFE IN CHOLANGIOCARCINOMA PATIENTS RECEIVING CHEMOTHERAPY

The purpose of this quasi-experiment research one groups pretest - posttest design was to study effects of clinical nursing practice guideline empowerment on quality of life in cholangiocarcinoma patients receiving chemotherapy. The samples consisted of 14 cholangiocarcinoma patients receiving chemotherapy in during October 2558 – September 2559. The instruments used in data were collected 1) demographic data in cholangiocarcinoma patients receiving chemotherapy in the first day 2) QOL using Thai Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy in the first day and before discharge and 3) General and adverse events using WHO criteria for toxicity in the first day receiving chemotherapy then contacted data by telephone once a week for 4 times. Data analysis used pair t-test statistics.
The mean overall quality of life was different between groups statistically significant at 0.05. Complications in experiment group were fewer reports of mild anorexia and fatigue. The experiment group was good quality of life and complications were not affect activity daily life.
