THE EFFECT OF COMMUNITY HEALTH PROMOTION, WANG SOMBUN DISTRICT, SA KAEO PROVINCE

Abstract

This participatory action research aimed to evaluate effects of operation of health promotion. The participatory were 76 volunteers. Research tools were questionnaire and interview including, statistical methods were frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation and paired t-test.

The result showed that samples were female 57.6%, aged between 40-49 years 40.9%, complete primary education 44.7%, agricultural professions 40.9%, had a monthly income of less than 5,000 baht 53.9 percent. Before operated the program, health promotion behavior of samples was high (30.7%) moderate (43.5%) and low (26.8%). After operated the program, health promotion behavior of samples was high (53.7%) moderate (26.7%) and low (19.6%), including health promoting behavior increased significantly at p-value = .001.
