THE RESULT OF SOR LANNA DIALECT ON STROKE TO RECOGNISE STROKE WARNING SIGN AMONG HYPERTENSION PATIENTS IN BUASALI SUB DISTRICT, MAE LAO DISTRICT, CHIANGRAI PROVINCE

The study was the Quasi-experimental design on a one- group pre-post test by using the lyrics of Sor Lanna dialect recognizing stroke signs and symptoms through the community broadcast among 45 hypertensive patients who live in Buasali Sub district, Mae Lao District, Chiang Rai Province. The data were analyzed by using the descriptive and inferential statistics- Paired Samples t-test (p-value <0.05).
The results of this research indicated that 97.80 % never had any stroke’s signs or symptoms. 95.60 % were 51 years and older. Among 45 samples, 57.78 % were female. 62.22 % reported that they have immediate relatives who were diagnosed with hypertension. The post test score of the awareness of stroke’s signs and symptoms showed 9.09 statistically significance (p-value .05), comparing to the pre test score which was 7.40. Finally, participants were extremely satisfied with the media.
