Publication Ethics
Journal of Digital Health Science and Innovation (JDHSI) adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics to ensure academic integrity and quality. The roles and responsibilities of all parties involved are defined as follows:
1. Editorial Responsibilities
Academic Governance:
Editors are responsible for screening and maintaining the quality of submitted manuscripts, providing constructive feedback to enhance the work to meet international standards.
Confidentiality and Privacy:
Editors strictly uphold the double-blind peer review process, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the evaluation process.
Impartiality and Freedom from Bias:
Decisions to accept or reject manuscripts must be based on their accuracy, significance, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope, without any conflict of interest.
Transparency and Integrity:
Editors implement systematic plagiarism detection and are prepared to take appropriate action if any ethical violations are identified.
2. Author Responsibilities
Originality and Copyright:
Authors must ensure that their submission is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration by another journal (duplicate submission).
Accuracy and Transparency of Data:
Authors must present their findings truthfully, without fabrication or falsification of data, and must properly cite all sources in accordance with academic standards.
Ethics in Human Research:
Manuscripts involving human subjects must receive approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB), and supporting documentation must be submitted along with the manuscript.
Responsibility in the Review Process:
Authors must strictly follow the recommendations of the editorial board and reviewers, revising and resubmitting their manuscripts within the specified timeframe. If certain issues cannot be addressed, authors must provide clear academic justification.
3. Reviewer Responsibilities
Expertise and Fairness:
Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, within their area of expertise, and avoid personal opinions that are not supported by evidence.
Management of Conflicts of Interest:
If reviewers identify any conflict of interest with the authors or affiliated institutions, they must inform the editor and decline the review immediately.
Confidentiality and Use of Information:
All information contained in the manuscript must be treated as strictly confidential. Reviewers must not disclose or use any part of the manuscript for personal benefit under any circumstances.
Timeliness:
Reviewers must complete their evaluations within the agreed timeframe to ensure the efficiency of the publication process.
