Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscript must be an original work that has not been previously published and has not been submitted or presented in full at any academic conference proceedings.
  • Authors must register as members of the Journal of Nursing, Health Sciences and Education through the ThaiJO online journal system. Registration is free of charge.
  • The manuscript must be prepared using Microsoft Word (.docx) on A4-sized white paper (21 × 29.7 cm), with the following margins: top 3.81 cm, bottom 2.54 cm, left 3.81 cm, and right 2.54 cm. The text must be typed in TH SarabunPSK font, size 16, for both Thai and English. The manuscript should be single-column, single-spaced, and printed on a single side. The length of research articles, including references, should be 15–20 pages, while academic articles, including references, should be 10–15 pages.
  • The use of the Thai language, English translation of terms, or transliteration must follow the Royal Institute guidelines. English may be used where no Thai equivalent exists. For abbreviations, the full term must be written out followed by the abbreviation in parentheses at first mention, and standardized abbreviations should be used there after.
  • Tables must have their titles placed above the table. For charts, figures, or images, titles or captions must be placed below the respective chart or image.
  • If a manuscript has already been submitted for peer review and the author subsequently requests withdrawal from the publication process, the author is required to cover all reviewer compensation costs associated with the manuscript review process.

Author Guidelines 

The content of a research article is structured as follows:

1. Abstract including

    1.1 Title: The Thai title must be centered on the page, in bold (font size 16).

    1.2 Author Name(s): Author names must be listed in Thai, aligned to the right. In the case of multiple authors, names must be ordered according to their contribution. An asterisk (*) must be added after the surname of the corresponding author. Academic titles and affiliations of all authors must be placed after the keywords. The corresponding author must include an e-mail address. For example:

   1.3 Abstract: The Thai abstract must not exceed 300 words and should be presented in a single column. It must include the following components in order: brief background and significance, objectives, research methodology (including sample, instruments, and statistical analysis), results, and research benefits.

    1.4 Keywords: Up to five keywords in Thai.

2. English Abstract

    2.1 Title: The English title must be centered on the page, in bold (font size 16). The first letter of each major word must be capitalized, except for conjunctions.

    2.2 Author Name(s): Author names must be written in English and aligned to the right. For multiple authors, names must be ordered according to contribution. An asterisk (*) must be added after the surname of the

corresponding author. Academic titles and affiliations of all authors must be placed after the Keywords. The corresponding author must include an e-mail address. For example:

    2.3 Abstract: The English abstract must correspond to the Thai abstract and must not exceed 300 words. It should be presented in a single column.

    2.4 Keywords: Up to five keywords in English.

3. Main Text: The main text should include the following sections:
Background and significance of the problem, research objectives, research questions/hypotheses (if any), theoretical framework, research methodology, population and sample, research instruments and quality validation, research ethics and protection of participants’ rights, data collection, data analysis, research results, discussion, recommendations for practical application, and recommendations for future research.

4. Acknowledgements and Disclosure of Funding

This section should include acknowledgements and disclosure of any benefits received by the authors, such as research funding from relevant institutions.

 Academic Article

Title, author names, and keywords must follow the same format as the Thai and English abstracts of research articles.

The Thai abstract should present key content, objectives, and a brief conclusion. The English abstract must correspond to the Thai abstract and not exceed 300 words.

The main text should include:
Introduction (background and significance of the problem, objectives, scope of the study, and definitions), content (structured presentation, analysis, critique), and conclusion.

Citation and References

1. Citations must follow the Vancouver Style, including both in-text citations and reference lists.

2. References should generally not exceed 10 years in age, except for theoretical or philosophical books and textbooks.

3. กIn-text citations must be indicated using superscript numbers in the order of appearance (1, 2, 3, …). Numbers must be assigned sequentially according to citation order and must correspond to the reference list. For consecutive references, use a hyphen (e.g., 1–4). For non-consecutive references, use commas without spaces (e.g., 3,5,8). Repeated citations must use the same reference number.

4. References must be listed in numerical order according to their appearance in the text. Reference numbers should be aligned to the left margin. If a reference entry exceeds one line, subsequent lines should be indented. A single space should be used between reference elements. Thai references must be translated into English and marked with (in Thai) at the end.

5. The reference list must be ordered numerically.

6. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all references strictly comply with Vancouver Style formatting requirements.
