Studying the readiness of Drinking water and Ice Manufactures in appointing Food Production Supervisors according to GMP 420 guidelines in Trang Province

Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the readiness and factors related to the readiness to use the system for appointing food production supervisors according to the GMP 420 guidelines for 89 drinking water and ice manufacturing in Trang Province. Data was collected between May–15 June ,2024 with a self-answer questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including t-distribution statistics and chi-square statistics. Research found that every establishment appoints a food production supervisor according to GMP 420 guidelines. Most do not use the system for appointing food production supervisors according to the GMP 420 guidelines, accounting for 64.04 percent. Factors related to readiness to use the system for appointing food production supervisors according to GMP 420 guidelines are as follows: Organizational management service factors include knowledgeable personnel. Understanding of GMP 420 laws (P<0.001). Personnel with knowledge of procedures. Access to the system (P<0.001), ability to learn on your own through media (P = 0.011), readiness of equipment (P = 0.006) and government service factors, namely the ability of officials to explain usage procedures system (P = 0.014). Following up and giving advice on system usage for officials (P = 0.005) and appropriate public relations media (P = 0.005). In addition, the research results found that the level of knowledge and understanding of entrepreneurs is at a moderate level. This is another factor that is related to the readiness to use the system for appointing food production supervisors according to the GMP 420 guidelines of establishments (P<0.001). From the research results, a plan can be proposed to support the use of the system for appointing food production supervisors according to the GMP 420 guidelines as follows: 1) Develop knowledge, legal understanding, and digital skills for entrepreneurs. 2) Increase the government’s proactive monitoring and evaluation system. Develop media to be clear and easy to understand. 3) Develop a system structure that is easy to use.
