THE MODEL DEVELOPMENT OF PARTICIPATORY LEARNING PROCESS ON MOTHER AND CHILD HEALTH PROMOTION IN SUKSUMRAN DISTRICT OF RANONG PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to model development of participatory learning process on mother and child health promotion is Suksumran district of Ranong province, study factors effective the participatory learning process on mother and child health promotion is Suksumran district of Ranong province, and evaluate efficiency of the participatory learning process on mother and child health promotion is Suksumran district of Ranong province. This research was action research. The researcher used the participatory learning process with survey research using questionnaire.

Research results showed that use of the participatory learning process with 5 steps comprising Step 1 – collecting data and situation, Step 2 - searching problems and causes of problems and analyzing causes of problems, Step 3 - making Community Master Plan, Step 4 – action, and Step 5 - evaluation. child health promotion to making on mother and child health promotion Master Plan have 3 Strategies and 8 Activity Plans. After studying factors affecting the participatory learning process on mother and child health promotion, the researcher found that a female group, Bachelor’s degree and higher group, Islam group, a group who used to receive the training and attend the meeting/seminar at the statistical significance of 0.05. and a group living in the area for 31 years and over the participatory learning process at the statistical significance of 0.01. The compare pre-test and post-test of the participatory learning process at the statistical significance of 0.05. After evaluating the efficiency of participatory learning process, the researcher found that is very efficient.

Research recommendations are as follows; related agencies concerned comprising the Local Government Organization, operation on mother and child health promotion committee, Suksumran hospital and Sub-district health promoting hospital, should develop information system, knowledge, skill, develop related leaders and operational guidelines through communication systems and technology suitable.
