To ensure that academic communication is accurate, of high quality, transparent, and aligned with publication standards. The Journal of Health Promotion and Environmental has established clear roles and responsibilities for three key groups involved in the publication of their articles are the authors, editors, and reviewers. These guidelines intended to be studied and strictly followed by all parties to ensure fairness and benefit for all stakeholders as follows

Responsibilities of the editors

 1.   Assume full responsibilities for all content published in the journal of health promotion and Environmental hygiene, and ensure the journal is continuously developed

2. Take appropriate actions to ensure the quality assurance and accuracy of academic articles published in the journal beneath their responsibilities.

3. Establish a double-blind peer review process to ensure that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the manuscript evaluation process.

4. Make publication decisions for manuscripts that have undergone peer review, based primarily on their significance, originality, clarity, and alignment with the journal’s aims and scope.

5. Do not accept for publication any academic article that has been previously published elsewhere.

6. Maintain impartiality by avoiding any conflicts of interest or personal gain in relation to authors, peer reviewers, and editorial board members.

7. Conduct thorough checks for plagiarism and self-plagiarism using reliable and trusted software. If any form of plagiarism is detected during the manuscript review process, the editor must immediately suspend the review and contact the author for clarification. This explanation will be considered in the decision to accept or reject the manuscript for publication.

8. In the event that an error is identified in a published article, the editorial team must be prepared to issue a correction, provide clarification, retract the article if necessary, and offer an appropriate apology.

9. Uphold the principle of freedom of expression by establishing a transparent mechanism for appeals or comments when authors, peer reviewers, or editorial board members disagree with editorial decisions

 

Responsibilities of Reviewer

1. Ensure the confidentiality of the peer review process by not disclosing the manuscript title or content to any unauthorized individuals while the article is under consideration.

2. Disclose any potential conflicts of interest to the journal editor and respectfully decline to review the manuscript if such conflicts—or any other circumstances—may hinder the reviewer’s ability to provide an impartial and unbiased assessment.

3. Conduct manuscript evaluations only in fields where they possess relevant expertise, and base their assessments on sound reasoning supported by empirical evidence or scholarly references.

4. Notify the editor if any part of the manuscript under review appears to be identical or substantially similar to another published work.

Responsibilities of Authors

1. Affirm that the submitted manuscript is an original work and has neither been published nor submitted for publication or distribution in any other venue.

2. Affirm that all data included in the manuscript are authentic, originate from the research conducted by the author or the named research team, and are presented truthfully without distortion, fabrication, or falsification.

3. Refrain from copying previously published work, whether one’s own (self-plagiarism) or that of others (plagiarism). If such content is referenced, it must be appropriately rewritten and cited following the journal’s prescribed citation format.

4. Provide documentation of ethical clearance or approval from a recognized ethics committee when the research involves human subjects.

5. Ensure that the manuscript is formatted and structured in compliance with the journal’s prescribed submission requirements.

6. Certify that all individuals listed as authors have made genuine contributions to the work, in accordance with the roles specified in the manuscript.

7. Specify the funding sources that supported the research (if any).
