Publication Ethics

To maintain the highest standards of publication ethics, the Journal of Health Science Mekong River Basin
strictly adheres to the following guidelines for all parties involved.

✍️ Duties of Authors

  • Originality & Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. If the work of others is used, it must be appropriately cited. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.
  • Multiple Submissions: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently is considered unethical and is prohibited.
  • Ethical Approval: For research involving human or animal subjects, authors must provide evidence of approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee.
  • Authorship: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the study.
  • Conflict of Interest: All authors should disclose any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that might influence the results.

⚖️ Duties of Editors

  • Publication Decisions: The editor is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published based on academic merit.
  • Fair Play: Manuscripts are evaluated for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, religious belief, or citizenship of the authors.
  • Confidentiality: The editor and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author and reviewers.
  • Integrity: Editors will take responsive measures when ethical complaints have been presented concerning a submitted manuscript.

🔍 Duties of Reviewers

  • Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and may also assist the author in improving the paper.
  • Confidentiality: Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
  • Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive or collaborative connections with any of the authors.
