QUALITY OF WORK LIFE OF GARBAGE COLLECTOR OF PUBLIC CLEANLINESS AND PUBLIC PARK SECTION, LAT PHRAO DISTRICT, BANGKOK METROPOLITAN ADMINISTRATION

Abstract

               The purpose of this research were to study 1) The level of quality of work life of garbage collector of Public Cleanliness and Public Park Section, Lat Phrao District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and 2) To study problems and obstacles of quality of work life Garbage Collector of Public Cleanliness and Public Park Section, Lat Phrao District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. It is a quanitative research, collected the data which utilized the questionnaires. The sample group from garbage collector in public cleansing and public park section of Lat Phrao District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. This research used descriptive statistics to find basic statistics such as frequency and percentage to explain basic information, general characteristics of the sample and find the average and standard Deviation. The result was summarized as follows; 1) The quality of work life of Garbage Collector of Public Cleanliness and Public Park Section, Lat Phrao District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, overall showed that was at a high level, while considering each aspect, the average values from highest to lowest were as follows: The aspect of social benefits, hygienic and safe environment, job stability and advancement, work-life balance, and adequate and fair compensation, respectively. 2) The problems and obstacles of quality of work life of Garbage Collector of Public Cleanliness and Public Park Section, Lat Phrao District, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration found that; The compensation was not enough to support their daily lives, as consumer goods was more expensive, workplace should be cleaned every day, with good ventilation, airiness, shade, and a building for rest during lunchtime, the opportunity to consider becoming a permanent employee when the required work hours are completed, in order to increase the salary and receive welfares, the continue work periods affect the quality of well-being.
