Abstract

This study aimed to 1) 1) Study about level of participation, 2) Study about comparing personal factors’s participation, 3) Study about the factors related to participation and 4) Study about the factors that predict participation involved with the management.

This research employed a mixed-methods design, conducted in two phases. Phase 1, the quantitative phase, used questionnaires administered to three sample groups 213 members of the 1) sub-committees 2) working groups and 3) committees. The instruments yielded an Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) of 0.95 to 1.00, and Cronbach's alpha coefficients ranging from 0.86 to 0.99 Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics via stepwise multiple regression. Phase 2 involved a qualitative study conducted through focus group discussions with 12 participants using a semi-structured interview guide, analyzed through content analysis.

The findings revealed that, 1) Factors influencing participation specifically age, motivational factors, and organizational management-showed statistically significant relationships at the 0.05, 0.01, and 0.01 levels (r = –.176, .760, .708; p-value = 0.010, 0.000, 0.000, respectively). 2) Factors influencing participation included motivational factors (encompassing both maintenance and motivational dimensions) and organizational management; these factors collectively explained 65.9% of the variance in participation. Therefore, it is recommended that participation levels be compared across districts, taking into account differing social contexts and work cultures.
