Cost of providing services of sub-district health promoting hospitals Plai-Phraya District Krabi, fiscal year 2021

Abstract

The objective of this study was to study the cost of sub-district health promoting hospitals Plai-Phraya District Krabi , fiscal year 2021. The demographic is Sub-District Health Promoting Hospital in Plai-Phraya District Krabi province in the amount of 9 locations by retrospective study. By collecting secondary data from existing sources from 1 October 2020 to 30 September 2021. The tool used is labor cost record form, material cost, investment cost, work time record form Individual patient service information from the JHCIS program. It is descriptive research. Statistics used are number, percentage, rate, ratio, mean and standard deviation. by using the Microsoft excel program.

The study found that the total cost of all 9 public health hospitals had the highest average labor cost of 1,756,135.33 baht, followed by the material cost of 244,582.81 baht and the investment cost of 244,505.16 baht, accounting for the proportion of labor cost : material cost : investment cost equal to 78.22 : 10.89 : 10.89 Average cost per service unit classified by service activity The highest was consumer protection activities, equal to 1,418.43 baht, followed by rehabilitation activities, equal to 248.70 baht. Medical treatment activities equal to 128.19 baht, health promotion activities equal to 100.41 baht, and the lowest average cost per unit of service is disease prevention and control activities equal to 96.65 baht, and in terms of cost per capita as a whole of all hospitals, the average is equal to 963.19 baht. (SD = 359.01) by Ban Chong Baek Subdistrict Hospital has the highest cost per capita, equal to 1,673.07 baht and Ban Bang Hien Sub-district Hospital has the lowest cost per capita equal to 515.19 baht.

There was a limitation of this study to study the cost of patient services without taking into account the severity of the disease, the nature of the disease, patient characteristics, type, and difficulty of treatment. But it is calculated as the average cost per service unit of all service users only.
