The Department of Disease Control receives reports of important events, diseases, and health threats under the Event-based surveillance program from the public health network as follows:
Domestic situation
1. Food poisoning /acute diarrheal disease clusters in temporary shelters in Si Sa Ket Province (2 events).
2. Risk assessment of food poisoning / diarrheal disease in shelters related to the Thai–Cambodian border situation.
International Situation
Reports have identified mutations in the poliovirus genome at 31 positions in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR), posing a high risk of spread into Viet Nam.
