Abstract

Backgrounds: Cerebrovascular disease is the first cause of death of Thailand. Area of 2nd regional health had the trend of occurrence of disease and death increased every year since 2009-2014.
Method: This study need to compare direct age-standardization of provinces in the area of 2nd regional health in 2014 by analyzing crude morbidity rate and crude mortality rate with direct age-standardization method.
Results: After adjust standard morbidity of disease, the provinces with the highest morbidity are Tak, Sukhothai, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun respectively. In mortality rate after adjusting standardization is shown that, the provinces with the highest mortality rate are Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Sukhothat and Tak respectively.
Conclusions: The adjusted direct age-standardization method use to compare the provinces where had different population structure that can determine the area where had a problem, determine measures and distribute resources for prevention and control and more proper management the patients.
