Cercarial dermatitis due to cercaria of Schistosoma spindale from Indoplanobis exustus

Abstract

เมื่อวันที่ 18 สิงหาคม 2543 กองระบาดวิทยาได้รับแจ้งจากกรมการแพทย์ กระทรวงสาธารณสุขว่า มีผู้ป่วยอาชีพเกษตรกร(ทำนา)จากจังหวัดศรีสะเกษ เข้ารับการรักษาที่โรงพยาบาลราชวิถี ด้วยอาการคันและมีผื่นบริเวณแขน ขา ส่วนที่สัมผัสน้ำขณะทำนา แพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางโรคผิวหนังให้การวินิจฉัยแยกโรคว่า อาจเป็น Cercarial dermatitis จาก Cercaria ของ Schistosome และผู้ป่วยดังกล่าวแจ้งว่า มีผู้ป่วยที่มีอาการคล้ายกันอีกประมาณ 40 คน ที่ทำนาอยู่บริเวณเดียวกับผู้ป่วย ทางกรมการแพทย์ได้ประสานงานมายังกองระบาดวิทยา เพื่อสอบสวนการระบาด และประสานงานกับส่วนราชการในพื้นที่ เพื่อหามาตราการควบคุมป้องกันโรคต่อไป
