The Department of Disease Control receives reports of important events, diseases, and health threats under the Event-based surveillance program from the public health network as follows:
Domestic situation
1. Three cluster outbreaks of food poisoning/acute diarrhea in Chiang Mai, Loei, and Ang Thong.
2. Risk assessment of norovirus-associated acute gastroenteritis transmission in educational institutions during February 2026.
3. Food poisoning situation.
International Situation
1. Detection of two novel viral variants with potential pandemic threat, posing significant public health concern.
2. Nipah virus infection in Bangladesh.
