Abstract

The Department of Disease Control receives reports of important events, diseases, and health threats under the Event-based surveillance program from the public health network as follows:

Domestic situation

1. Influenza cluster among military personnel in a camp in Chonburi Province.
2. A suspected cluster of heavy metal poisoning comprising 16 cases was reported in a community in Chiang Rai Province.

International Situation

An outbreak of Avian influenza A (H5N1) among elephant seal was reported in the state of California, United States.
