Abstract

The Department of Disease Control receives reports of important events, diseases, and health threats under Event-based surveillance program from the public health network as follows:

Domestic situation

1. Two Influenza clusters were reported in Bangkok and Ubon Ratchathani Province
2. Risk assessment of an influenza outbreak in healthcare facilities
3. Disease and threat situation raised to alert mode for Vaccine-Derived Poliovirus (VDPV) in the Thai–Lao PDR border area

International Situation

Japan declares an influenza epidemic.
