Highlight
- Influenza is a common respiratory infectious disease, particularly among young children, the elderly, and individuals with underlying health conditions.
- Influenza vaccination is a key measure for preventing illness and reducing the severity of the disease.
- In 2025, an increase in influenza cases has been observed, especially from the A/Sydney/5/2021 (H1N1) strain, which is not included in the 2024–2025 seasonal influenza vaccine composition.
- Continuous surveillance of influenza virus strain variations is essential, along with timely communication of prevention and control measures to the public, and accelerated vaccination efforts among the high-risk population groups.
