The Department of Disease Control receives reports of important events, diseases, and health threats under the Event-based surveillance program from the public health network as follows:
Domestic situation
1. Three events of food poisoning/acute diarrhea in Phang Nga, Bangkok, and Ratchaburi provinces.
2. Acute diarrhea situation in Thailand.
3. Risk assessment of communicable diseases with symptoms transmitted through water during the summer season.
International Situation
Public health officials reported an unusually severe outbreak of meningitis with an unprecedented epidemiological pattern.
