Abstract

The Department of Disease Control receives reports of important events, diseases, and health threats under the Event-based surveillance program from the public health network as follows:

Domestic situation

1. Cluster of Avian influenza outbreaks in animals: 23 positive samples reported in the Lao People's Democratic Republic
2. Legionnaires' disease situation
3. Risk assessment of diseases associated with the rainy season

International Situation

World Health Organization (WHO) reported human fatalities associated with Avian influenza A(H5N1) infection in 2026
