Abstract

Introduction: In the digital age, where technology is developing rapidly. The use of digital technology in health promotion has become an important tool to help increase the efficiency of medical services. In particular, health promotion among adolescents, who are the main target group for the prevention of cervical cancer and other cancers related to human papillomavirus (HPV). Nurses are health providers who play a close role with patients. Digital technology can be used to promote knowledge, understanding, and decision-making in HPV vaccination effectively.

Objectives: To present important knowledge about HPV vaccines in adolescents. Nurses play a crucial role in utilizing digital technology to encourage HPV vaccination among teenagers.

Key contents: The HPV vaccine is highly effective in preventing high-risk strains of HPV infection. Especially strains 16 and 18, which are the main causes of cervical cancer and can reduce the risk of developing the disease by up to 90 percent if received according to the program. An important nurse’s role in the application of digital technology to promote HPV vaccination among adolescents. Online consultation and support Digital appointment management and reminders, and post-vaccination follow-up. However, there are still challenges in terms of inequality in access to technology. Data Privacy and Security Development of content appropriate to the cultural context and evaluation of effectiveness.

Conclusion: The HPV vaccine can prevent high-risk HPV infection and can reduce the risk of developing the disease. Digital technology is a potential tool to support access to vaccines. Nurses play an important role in applying such technology to promote vaccination among adolescents under the challenges in the current social context.

Implications: Nurses should develop digital technology and online communication skills. Create engaging and easy-to-understand content for adolescents, develop an online appointment system to facilitate it, and use technology to monitor and evaluate results to continuously improve the strategy of promoting cervical cancer vaccination.
